And we have sod now... it's all coming together!!! :-)
Granite on the island is finally here!! Yeah!! :-) I can't wait for the new cabinet side panels - I hate staring at cardboard ends on the side of my cabinets!!

Gotta love that street name!!!

I had to get a sneak peek so I pulled back the cardboard and snapped a quick picture! :-)

Hard to see but we are so excited about the black mulch! :-)

Trying to decide between these 2 for the cabinet hardware... any thoughts?

Had to take a close-up of the glazing... I think it makes the regular ole toffee cabinets look SO much better - especially with the dark 5in wide plank floors! :-)

Just missing the island - which gets put in later :-)

We went to the house at 8:15pm on Wednesday (9-16-09) and they were just getting ready to lay the floors.. so we came back at 9:30pm and this is what we found... I LOVE them :-)

Trim, Cabinets, and Concrete

Then Jeremy was a trooper & appeased me as I made him help me measure out where we are going to put our sofas, etc. in the family room... just wanted to be sure it all was going to fit, etc. SO I took some left over trim and laid it all out to scale :-)
At the last minute I decided to change the way the doors swing ... and I think it looks better... they are set to swing "out" into the foyer.. but I thought it would look better if they swing "in" towards the library.... that way they don't crowd the foyer.. PLUS I figure they will be open all the time anyway, right?! :-)

Kitchen cabinets ... did not quite get finished but almost!

The picture below is actually more of a true representation of color for the hardi-shake on the front ... this picture above makes it look a little "orange" but its not at all .. more dark tan/brown.... Long story short - they painted the hardi-shake & siding the same color & the shake was actually supposed to be a lighter color... At first we couldn't decide we liked it and just wanted to keep it this way but... after much deliberation we've decided to have it painted the correct color... which has not been done yet... will send new pictures then! :-)

Little hard to see but we have a driveway & side walks!! :-)

July 27th, 2009
We officially have a FRONT door... YEAH!!! And windows... it's starting to really feel like a house now!!!
Then we went for a little walk around the "new/old" neighborhood!
He LOVED checking it out!!!

July 26th, 2009
We decided to take Buddy over to see the house and let him "sniff" around :-)

Deborah does her best "Vanna White" in front of our fireplace... in our family rm with no roof yet!

Deborah goes down to check the sump! And as you can see comes back up smiling... Looks good!

Looks a little scary but I walked across to get to the master bedroom!

Backyard is shaping up nicely... can't wait for Little Buddy to have his own little fenced in area!

Jeremy & I were quite excited - finally we had a third person to take a picture of US... since we are usually there by ourselves :-)

As you can tell by the smirk of Jeremy's face... he's tired of my picture taking

Then just a we walk inside we hear our FIRST official visitor toot their horn outside and guess who it is... Deborah Doodeman!!! Of course we invited her right in to our humble abode to have a look around!

July 19th, 2009:
We ALMOST have a "real" house!!! YEAH!!!
